Hi not clued up on flash units but looking for a cheap one ...im using a nikon 5100 and would be looking to use it in very low light and indoors .....any recomendations ....as i say must be chaep just something to give a little bit extra ....thanks
 
Yongnuo 560 II or III version, depending on budget, I'd say the III is worth the little extra TBH, it's full manual.

Or the Yongnuo 568EX for Nikon which is i-TTL for Nikon if you want a little more ease of use rather than a manual flash.

Hey, I have a jessops nikon fit you can have if you want for free if that's aloud with forum rules.
Is been gathering dust since I got my 2 Nikon ones.
Jessops 360AFDN not sure how good is it as I got it for free

its some sort of ttl im not sure what ittl is but i just put it on set it to auto and it does all the work. Still trying to get to grips with it myself
 
I've just taken the plunge and bought a Triopo TR-980 to temporarily replace my Yongnuo 565EX which blew up on Friday. Need to send it back to Yongnuo but I need one to tide me over for shoots until I get it back.

I'll report back on if it is any good when I get it. But price wise it seems very cheap.

Thanks for all your advice .....would just like to say a big ty to fred what a top guy my flash arrived today and well pleased its in great condition ..offered to pay post and he wouldnt even take that guys like this make forums what a top bloke ty fred
