My tripod is the Velbon VF-40

oh and the style of bad needs to be Backpack as im sick of shoulder bags

Thanks

Lowepro mini trekker aw is decent little back pack.

The Lowepro 350AWthat I use has tripod straps on the outside; it works well but is a bit topheavy if you are opening the bag with the tripod attached.

You can easily fit in 3+ mid-size lenses, cards, batteries, remote etc... and jessops sometimes does some good online order discounts. It'll fit a gorilla pod inside too.

I think you'll struggle to get a full tripod inside anything smaller than a suitcase; but again it depends which you have.

Having just checked on the size of your tripod when folded, which is 54cm, the only bag I can think of which is big enough to fit the tripod inside is a Tamrac Expedition 9x rucksack, which is 58cm internal size. The bag is very large and will get all your gear and a lot more besides and is a very well made bag, but it is a bit on the expensive side.

In all honesty, you might well be better off getting a bag that has tripod straps on the outside, unless of course you have to have thee tripod inside the bag for a specific reason.

Hmm looks like it could be the way to fit the tripod on the outside

Been looking on the 7dayshop site and there is quite a big one

Bear in mind too that a 54cm tripod will only just fit in a 58cm bag; as that's going to be the max height; which is the central part where a big lens/camera normally sits. Also, a 54cm tripod is probably 64cm+ with a head on it - plus most heads have at least one largeish handle :)

I've got a Kata backpack (http://www.katabags.co.uk/digital-rucksack-467-dl) that has a Tripod mounting point on the side, allowing you to strap a travel tripod to the side of the backpack. Seem a few other manufactuers with similar as well.

As others have said not sure you'll find a bag with space inside to stash a tripod as well!

I think you'd find a side-mounted tripod quite helpful; as I said one of the disadvantages of having a 2kg tripod on the front when it's opens there is actually opening it up. As long as it's doesn't cause the bag to droop or lean too mich?

The slingshot bags from lowepro have a good tripod holder on the side? Can't imagine trying to put a tripod inside a cam bag though
