Hi guys, just looking into getting a full frame, Iv currently got a canon 7d, but am looking at getting a full frame for next year, I have spotted a cannon 1d mk2 for 300 I was wondering would that be a good choice even tho it's nearly 11 years old, being released in 2001, or should I save up my penny's and get the 5dmk3

What about a used 5D? they can be got now for not much more than that.
 
Save. And the 1D isn't full frame.
 
No they are 1.3x crops, the 1Ds series are full frame
 
Ahh I always thought the 1d was a full frame, well that's cleared that up
 
Depends on your budget, 5DII would be a good choice, also 1Ds MKIII (the MKII is a bit long in the tooth now), could be in the mix. Even though the 1Ds MKIII is discontinued, the IQ from the camera still blows me away. But you need good glass to go with a FF camera to get the best from them.

It's a slippery slope to a huge dent in your wallet. :bonk:
