And you could well be right as I'm expecting a heatwave to work it's way over here by the middle part of next week onwards.
However, it looks like being only something exclusive to the South East of the UK while the rest of the UK continue to keep the cool and unsettled weather.
Secondly, along with that heatwave wiill be those now-obligatory heat-related thunderstorms.
And things will turn much more unsettled and Autumnal-like for the second half of August. I'll bet the farm on that one.
Why am I so sure about this one? That's when I'll be on my first work's holiday leave in 9 months, so it WILL piddle down hard every day. It's the Law, bound to happen.
But overall, I THINK (note the empathsis on that word) August will turn out a better month than July weather-wise. But I'm not going to risk "doing a Met Office" and suggest a "Barbecue Summer".
Heat wave here..... and you're welcome to it! Temperatures have been as high as 38 deg C, but feel much hotter with the humidity, more like 42. I can't bear it.

Ooooh noooo, that's too much! Especially since I'm a greenhouse worker (tomato farmer). Nope, give me a good ol' fashioned cool and changeable British climate any day.
