Look 13, Liverpool.

I certainly enjoyed the Parr exhibition. Interesting to see some of his early black and white work, especially his images of Yates Wine Lodge in Liverpool in the early eighties.

I was pleasantly surprised by the Rankin exhibition. I have a very strong personal dislike of Rankin (I think he's a bad knob!) but it was very touching. There's a huge portrait of Wilko Johnson that nearly floored me.

Definitely recommend people popping along if they can make it. I think both of them are showing until at least August.

Hoping to get up there in the next couple of weeks.

Thanks for linking this....wasn't aware it was on and will certainly make a trip now

Laura El-Tantawy's work at the Bluecoat was the best thing I saw at Look/13... and also the caravan gallery! That was amazing.

I'm popping back into town tomorrow to try and catch that.

Went to see the Tom Wood and Martin Parr exhibition and thought it was excellent! Throughly enjoyed it! Also saw the Rankin Alive! Exhibition which I thought was outstanding. Very thought provoking. I also very much enjoyed the set by Jyll Bradley (in the room next to the Rankin exhibition) the way they are back illuminated Akers them pop out into virtual 3d!! Brilliant! Well worth a look!
