So my better half is planning to do a timelapse project at her school. She is wanting to create a timelapse of the changes to her classroom over a number of months. Are there any specialist (but not stupidly expensive) pieces of equipment that she could use for this? Specific cameras? I have no idea when it comes to extended length timelapses.. Surly the camera would need to be mounted and plugged in if the required length of time was months..

Any suggestions would be very helpful.

Thanks!!

im under the impression it can be done with a 'go pro', cheap, waterproof and shock resistant-might be a good thing in a class room!

Brinno timelapse camera. Super piece of kit, easy to use, can be left for weeks at a time before the batteries need to be replaced.

I'm currently using one, trying to document the construction of an extension to our house. Here's an example.

What about a webcam? Quality can be hit or miss but there's bound to be one in a school that she could try.
