Hi TP people
Just resurrected my old Nikon F301 35mm film camera. Added some cheap Poundland film (200 ISO Agfa) and here are some selected shots. I seem to have inherited some other camers too - Olympus OM-10 and Minolta X-300 with the 35-70 zoom (which Leica, I believe, used the design)

Anyway heres some test shots from the Nikon

Hi Jeff, welcome to TP and in particular the fusty and crusty section. A nice, varied and interesting set of shots there, can I suggest that it might be a bit easier if you pop some of them in the thread rather than in the link above.
Good to have another member of the f&c club.

Andy

Well Jeff you certainly know how to handle film from looking at your shots....if your Minolta 35-70 is the f3.5 version then many people say "it was was made in collaboration with Leica". I have this lens and it is very good.
Also have the F301 (well N2000 the same) and X-300 and they are competent cameras.

FYI - these shots were taken with a 135mm Nikon Lens Series E (f2.8 IIRC) on the F301. Cant wait to try out the Minolta (It is a f3.5, just checked)

There are two versions of the Minolta 35-70...macro and non but same results, and the Leica ver go for silly prices.

Tis the the macro version I have. Chuffed, as this was given to me for £0.00, nowt, nada, zip etc. Cant wait to try it out...

You'll like it as I've always achieved very good results from this lens

Minolta 35-70 f3.5, Reala, Asda dev and scan with the usual adjustments in Photoshop to compensate as the scanner is set for prints.

Looking pin sharp! Fired off half a roll of Poundland yesterday evening using the Minolta 35-70 f3.5. Will finish off the roll this weekend, develop and scan and post the best ones here!

Jeff a welcome from me too, some nice work there as well, looking forward to seeing more of your work.
