So how do you operate the lens to do this beyond 1 second as it seems to be manual hand action?

If it's the same as my 127mm lens then it has a T setting, which opens the shutter up until you close it again by turning the shutter speed ring or by cocking the lever slightly. It's a bit different to Bulb mode but it's not too bad when you get used to it

Thanks Carl that was all i could come up with also.

What's this two cable thing for the RB67 then............. locks the mirror up that's all I know as I've never used mine.

The double release trips the body and mirror then a moment layer trips the shutter in the lens. Must admit I've never found mirror slap to be a problem with the RB.

You can do it without the double cable anyway. Shutter button puts the mirror up then cable release on the lens fires the shutter.

Steve.

Steve.

My double cable has a small symbol Pentacon, wonder what camera that was for...oh wait I sending the thread off topic again

And if you want to be really fussy you can use three cable releases for the B setting. Attach a cable release to each of the shutter release button, mirror up and B sockets, and set the shutter to T.

Press the shutter release cable to lock up the mirror, press the mirror up cable to open the shutter, and press the B cable to close it.

Though I haven't used the Mamiya double release cable I believe a half press locks up the mirror and finishing the press fires the shutter (as long as you have the right ends in the sockets). That way you can pause halfway till you are ready to fire the shutter and don't need to find the second release.
