No
everyone seems to be taking moon shots, and in London it's overcast.

Please post your moon shots for me to be jealous about

Took this last month probably my favourite moon shot I have taken, still not sure I've got the colours right but I still like it.

Ran into the garden and took this one for you just now

Hand held 1/250 f/8.0 300mm ISO 200

Had a play with lightroom but still so much to learn

I took this from my garden last night. Sigma 120-400mm lens on an EOS 40D

I'd say 400mm at least. Anything less than that and you're going to be cropping too much out of the image. I get okay shots at 400mm, but nothing better. A 600mm or 800mm prime lens would let you take amazing moon shots.

i got 100-300 f4, with 1.4TC then thats 140-520 f5.6 should be ok reckon?

Bare in mind these are from a super zoom compact. I still think they are decent. When i get a tcon-17 lens i will be up to 800mm. Then i will have some real fun :)

Sorry for stretching the forum skin. It's all i have at the moment.

Hand held while taking pics of the snow. The noise here is scary!

nice one dave, i was a bit short on the 200mm would have needed a 400mm for tonight's moon :) great to see we are shooting the same moon here.

worried me a bit when rob_w posted a full moon :D

Here's mine from last year.

Can you see the sunlit high ground in the centre of the otherwise dark crater (extreme right edge, centre)?
Easier to see here -

colors? do u mean the details on the moon?

need to get a bloody TC for the 200mm ^_^

Have a look here for a tutorial for lifting out the surface colours.

Taken a month ago in the afternoon

The moon is round, and the part in shadow is completely black. Howcome it's blue then? ;)
