London Street Photography article on the BBC

Definitely going to make some time to go see that exhibition at the museum of London - Opens Friday but looks like it'll be there a while.......

Some great photos there, but does make me wonder in this day and age what would happen if you 'disguised' your camera for candid shots (Paul Martin) or 'specialised in taking photos of children' (Henry Grant).
I don't want to start one of those threads but it saddens me that compelling and moving images like these will always be a thing of the past and future generations will have hardly anything to exhibit for something like this.

Maybe a movie or two made of CCTV footage?

I'll definitely be going to this exhibition too, 70's and 80's images are a personal favourite.

I went today as I'm in London at the moment. Good exhibition with some cracking images, very very busy though, felt under a fair bit of pressure to move round quickly as there were so many people going round.

They have made the bizarre decision to put captions and photographer biographies at knee height though which doesn't help!

There's also an excellent short film about street photography and how it's changed over the years, a lot of focus at the end on the whole "security" and "paedophile" things as well.
