London Riots break-in at Calumet

During the recent riots in London one of our Calumet Photographic stores was broken into and some equipment was stolen. Our security system prevented any significant loss, however we are eager to hear from anyone who comes into contact with individuals selling equipment at suspiciously low prices so that we may assist the Police in apprehending those responsible.
The items stolen were as follows-

If you do hear about any of these items being sold suspiciously please contact us directly on 08706 030303.
We are not affected by the break-in and it is very much business as usual.

Sorry to hear of the theft.

Hope its recovered soon.
 
Sad thing is.. they wont have a clue what they have in there hands.. probably try to take a picture with the 7d and no lens.. So I think your right about the silly low prices that will be asked :( Good luck with it..
 
Sorry to hear of the loss to your business.

Rest assured that should any of the kit listed turn up on our classifieds we WILL pass on as much information as we are legally allowed.
 
Already seen and tweeted this - it does look like maybe someone's taken advantage of the situation and gone in to fetch themselves a complete shooting kit though :(

Is it true that there was a pile of Nikon stuff left in exchange!
 
LOL. Even as a Nikon user I found that funny.:lol:

Non of these riots are about protests. Just pure badness and looting. I hope you get the stuff back, but I doubt it.:(

DIS CAMERA IS WELL ****, DERE'S NO PICTURE ON THE BACK, MUST BE A DEMO MODEL OR SUMMINK!
 
sorry to hear that , we had alot of break ins and spent thousands on beething up the secrity now but it still wont stop them , we have put steel gurders in and been called out all hours of morning to find vehicles in our premises ie ram raids not a nice feeling

the funniest one we caught was when we found foot marks on the window's of the upstairs windows , we checked cctv and sure enough it shows them boot hell out of the window the funniest thing was they are the ones designed to shatter and they didnt so cant of been doing a good job anyway the day we was checking the cctv i heared loads of noise on the roof turns out 3 doors away resdidential apartments were jumping across all the roofs and trying to break in to the property's we called the police but they were already on the scene (unusual ) they were already alerted to them but couldnt find them we let them in and the caught them red handed

I hope you recover the stolen camera kit, and that the police sort them out.

Seriously tho' good on you for identifying the items. I'm sure eBay will be awash with nicked items by this scum.

I'm just watching Sky News as they are trying to break into Jessops in Manchester.

Looking at the items taken it might be somebody setting up a studio, check out the local area, these people are not the smartest usually.
 
This is something we discussed last night at work, we presume that the police have an unit dedicated to watching ebay for sellers in the affected area.

Can the police force ebay / facebook to give them the name, address or what ever needed to catch these criminals.

Jacobs in Leicester got hit last night too, it was the more consumer one on Granby Street.
 
Great to see that everyone is talking about what happened and managing to keep a sense of humour. It's the great British humour that helps us get through the bad times. Terrible to hear about Jessops. They were looted whilst they were still open. The staff must have been terrified.
