London - Good locations sought

Gosh! Now there's a tough question. There are so many good places to shoot in London.

I'd do Westminster Bridge for shots of the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye, Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden etc.?

Oh, and don't take the tube. Most places that you may want to visit are easily walkable on a day out.

Head for the Thames - theres a stretch between Tower Bridge and Westmnister that holds much of interest on both sides with access down to the Thames itself: the Globe, Borough Market, the Tate Modern, Millennium Bridge, South Bank, the Wheel - architecture and people galore :D

The above advice is great, and you can then head north east into Trafalgar Square if you'd like, and further into Covent Garden. It may be worth starting at Bank/Mansion House, there's plenty of interesting architecture there.

It all depends on what you want to shoot and how far you're willing to walk.

If you find yourself near the Thames at night there's some stunning landscape photography to be had from the bridges. Lugging a tripod might be a bit of a pain, but I've had luck with a gorillapod and finding bits of the bridge that didn't have any obstructions.
