London exhibition

Are there any museums in London that have large collections of photography? Mainly I’d really like to see and Ansel Adams print in person

I’m not aware of any Ansel Adams work on permanent display in London.

There was an exhibition some years back and a few of the F&C has a wander round.

Great to see some of his work in a gallery rather than in books.

The V&A has a large photographic collection, but only a small fraction (which rotates) will be on public display at any one time. However, you can view items from the larger collection by appointment in the Study Rooms. Start by searching the collection:

They do hold some original Adams prints.

Even in the US it's difficult to see a large collection of Adams work. Probaby the gallery in Yosemite is the best bet. I was really annoyed when Moma in San Franciso was shut when I was there as there have a large collection

You know he didn't just do landscapes.
