I seem to be getting a bit confused looking at all the maps! Is anyone able to advise on the best route?

Our train will arrive at St Pancras and will be travelling to the astrofest show at the kensington conference and events centre.

Thanks in advance if anyone is able to help :)

Best bet imo is to cross the road to Kings X and get on a Circle line tube to that area, depending on where the nearest station is (High St Ken, Gloucester rd etc...)

Hi Michael

You need to be aware that the Circle line has for quite a few years now not been a circular route, the trains terminate at Edgeware Rd.

So going anti clockwise from Kings Cross you will need to change at Edgeware Rd to continue to High Street Ken.

That's why the map has the "8" shaped blob and two separate lines at Edgeware Rd.

The best way would be in a black cab. That way you get to avoid the tube but it'll cost about £20 each way.

Have you been to Astrofest before? It sounds interesting but it's a crap website. Is registration now closed?

Thamks David, I was wondering why it appeared you had to change, that"s a great help, so i just stick with another circle line train.

Yes I think you just have to cross to the opposite platform, they should announce what you have to do to continue your journey over the speakers.

I haven't been befor so its all new to me. I did want to do some of the lectures, but I'm just sticking with the main exhibitions this time round as to get a feel for it. Tickets for just the exhibition are available on the door but conferrnce tickets have to be ordered according to the astronomy now magazine and are limited on a first come first served basis. There is a phone number which is 01732 446106.

Thanks - I'll give them a call.

Another alternative for getting there is by Boris Bike! Might be a bit parky in February though :)

I'm sure you'll have a great day. Just remember with the tubes - if you miss one there's always another one in five or ten minutes and if you miss your stop or even go the wrong way it's easy enough to change direction. Plus Kensington's a nice neck of the woods - you could even pop to Harrod's for the experience or Hyde Park if that's your cup of tea :)
