What are people’s feelings on lomographys 400 and 800 colour film? Specifically in 120. I did read that the 800 was more of a 400 speed.

That’s cool, shame you can’t buy it by the roll

It's claimed that the 400 at least is made by Kodak and is the same formula as the VR T-grain emulsion we all got excited about back in the day, the first range of fast films without intrusive grain. I liked it then, but haven't used the Lomo version (though now I'm intrigued to try it).

Lomo 800 is my goto colour film for lower light (400/800) because it's cheap (for fast colour); the colours balance more nicely (i.e. less pp needed for me) and the grain is very fine for 800. The images I've taken have suffered when under-exposed, but when the exposure is good, it lights up.

Would heartily recommend over Portra 800 by a mile, and as they do bulk 3 packs in 120, I'd choose it as a 400 "circumstance" film for 120 too.

I was thinking of getting it over the 400 and using it at both 400 and 800. I’d like a trial pack of the 100, 400 and 800
