I'm currently on holiday. I arrived quite late last night, and after being showed around the place I am staying in got some sunset pics. Once I'd finished, I set up my laptop and tried to connect to the internet. When I clicked on the Wifi icon, chose the correct signal, when the dialogue box came up to input the password, the next button was greyed out and the keyboard wouldn't input any characters. The keyboard works fine on a Word document. And I am able to log into the Wifi with my tablet.

Any ideas what is wrong and how to fix it?

I am using Win 10 and have never previously had this problem with connecting to Wifi.

After going out and taking some sunrise pics ;-) I had another look through the network settings in the control panel and came across the "Set up new connection or network". I didn't see that last night, and trawling through different options through searching never mentioned it either. Anyway, it gave me the option to manually connect to a wireless network, and after choosing the correct security type, I was able to name the network I wanted to connect to, and input the password.

Still don't know why the normal method would allow me to input any characters, but I'll wait till I get home to see if it is a recurring problem, and try and see what I can do about it.
