Can anybody shed any light on this mystery?

If I login using IE7 v7.0.5730.11 and Firefox v2.0.0.2 I have no troubles ..... but, if I attempt it using Opera v9.10 bulid 8679 the login name/password is accepted, I get the "redirection if not loading" message and then straight back to the login page as if I've not logged on at all :shrug:

Is there an add-on, tool I'm missing or summat? :thinking:

Hiya Barry,

Something to try - just double check that cookies are turned on in your opera settings, if there are varying levels of security on this, lower it and try again, rinse and repeat and see if that works.

Or clear your opera cache?

/edit also look for the tps cookie and delete that.
 
Hiya, well, that's wierd. Couldn't find anything strange or odd with cookies or securities so I cleared the cookies.... would you Adam & Eve it? Works.... thanks. Sorry Steep, did it then read your post ..... it works any way, Thanks guys....

Haha! I've only just installed Opera so no TPS stuff there.... just seemed like a good idea at the time :shrug:

Have you discovered the "mouse gestures" yet Barry? Very handy - although if you revert to using IE afterwards you find yourself wondering why they don't work there!
 
you mean there is other browser software :O

Err - Mouse gestures? :eek: Nope, goes away to read help pages....... :help:
 
LOL - Click and nudge the mouse to the left to go back a page, click and nudge the mouse to the right to go forward a page. There are lots of others too but those are the ones you'll use most often, oh, that and the one for "page refresh" when Matt, Jonny & Janice get going on here anyway!
 
This could be fun .... I ain't got a "proper" mouse on this lappie.... looking a bit like a demented idiot having a fit with sudden hand movements and wierd 'clickings'..... candidate for locking up at the moment.... :cuckoo: :cuckoo: :cuckoo:

And if I'm asked, "what am I doing?" do I reply, "invoking mouse gestures?"... yep nut-hatch here I come :lol:
 
ROFL - they're not so easy to learn on a laptop but you CAN still use them. I assume you have two buttons and a touch pad? If so you click the right hand button with your left index finger and use your right index finger to "slide" to the left or right on the touch pad! :lol:

Don't worry - the nice white coat with all the buckles is in the post! ;)
 
Chuckles if your mouse has extra buttons, like back and forward use them instead, it's quicker and easier. You'll like Operas ability to nip back and forward through pages :)
