i'll be visiting loch ness in february next year, i know still early, but i am planning some photo locations.
one thing i'd like to try and get is a sunset or sunrise over the loch, i know the area slightly so i dont expect to get the sun actually rising, but am hoping conditions may be favourable for a red sky over the loch, but cant decide where would be the best locations for such a shot.
i know sunrise will be shortly before 8am, and sunset just after 5pm for the week i will be there, but if there is anyone out there with local knowledge I would appreciate some pointers for best locations (and while you are at it, any other area worthy of a visit).
if it helps i'll be staying in whitebridge on the south side of loch, but will be able to travel to a good time / location for the best shots

Looking at Google Earth, I think you will need to go around the loch to the west side – about a 20 mile drive from Whitebridge – if you want a 'sunrise over the loch'.
You ought to be able to do a 'sunset over the loch' on the Whitebridge side.
