you're not to far from Malden in Essex. You could try some sunrises there. Or how about a day at Cambridge? Plenty of photo op's. Thetford forest, Colchester zoo, Duxford.........

There's often a collection of car enthusiasts who congregate at the Half Way House PH on the A127. Sunday afternoons are best. And if you're more into naturism than cars check out the woodland at the back of the pub, but beware it has an "ahem" reputation...

I wouldn't bother with Maldon unless its one of their Victorian evenings in December. Quite frankly the town has gone to pot, too many chav's there now. The river can be nice if you like boats, but generally I'd go somewhere nicer like Danbury Lakes.

Oh, the Mud race they hold can be entertaining, and you don't get too many chav's there as it's usually very cold and before pub opening times. ;)

Hylands Park, Chelmsford has fantatic gardens, lawns and the house is pretty spectacular.

If you don't meind travelling there is always the Ashdown forest in sussex. Its the home of Winnie the Pooh, you have pooh bridge etc and it is a stunning area.

Depends really what subjects you like to shoot?

Easy enough to get into London from Romford.

If you want to shoot graffiti there is a huge amount in the sewers that run under Romford going west from the YMCA

Thanks for the replys people...
