Looking for some sort of power source / Generator for my Elinchrom D-lite 2 set.

Seen some on the bay ranging from about £399-599.
I would like to start to get the two head out on location for my shoots.
Any ideas?

The latest incarnation of the Innovatronix Explorer XT from the Flash Centre will do the job.

The Explorer XT SE from TFC certainly will work, though it's not their lastest incarnation, they are now shipping out the XT mini and the XT3 should be available soon :)

The mini and XT3 are fully compatible with multi-voltage heads such as the Eli BXRI

I spoke with The Flash Centre and was told the D-lite kits were mains only and could not be used with a powerpack...

That's funny, theres a video on their site of Chris Barfoot shooting a d lite head with an XT SE, and a statement confirming it works.

The person you spoke to is wrong.

Have a look on the Innovatronix site, they have a compatibility chart. If I remember correctly an XT and XT SE will only work with one d-lite on full power (not two, I think), and the mini and XT3 both work with TWO or more multi-voltage heads.

It's the multi/bi-voltage heads that create the issue when it comes to operating more than one head at a time.
