Location hunting - showing geotagged images on a map

Hi everyone,

I am doing a lot of location hunting for some upcoming shoots I have planned, I keep seeing interesting places and snapping shots with my phone in the hope of building a database of interesting local locations.

I know that I have geo-tagging enabled on my phones camera so all of my images are being saved with embedded GPS coordinated. However I am yet to find any suitable software that will show me the locations on a map with the reference image.

Can anyone suggest software that will enable me to do this for windows? Or even better for my iPad?

If it's an iphone, you can get a map up from your photos folder.

Lightroom 4 has maps, and I think aperture does too.
