Local wildlife info help

Sorry if this has been covered before.

Is there any info on the web i can look at for local wildlife info, mainly birds, what types, breeding locations, hot spots? Main locations and the time of year.

RSPB website is always a good starting point, google is also very useful,

Birdguides is also helpfull but most are full on twitchers which i find a bit daunting.
