Yes
We have been offered a place to stay in Llandudno for a few days, but know nothing about the place - anyone know the area and can recommend some local places to visit - we have 2 girls aged 9 and 14, which may make it slightly more difficult....!

If you have car you have so much to see. Beyond doubt Anglesey has the best beaches, Conway and its castle are worth a view, but my favourite area is snowdonia national park. The Llyn Peninsula is worth a look too which also has good beaches, also has a slightly different climate to the rest of North Wales as its south facing.

In LLandudno there's the tram or cable car that go to the summit of the Great Orme.
A trip up the Conwy valley is good - fairy Glen and Betws Y Coed are nice. Also Bodnant Gardens if you're into that kind of thing.
If its photo locations then to be honest you're spoilt for choice for just about any type you want.

Thanks for the replies - We are driving so can get around, and from what you both say it ought to be a good trip - lets hope the weather holds....!

You also have the Welsh Mountain Zoo to visit too

It has the biggest seagulls in the land.

They are genetically modified to zero in on chips and ice cream. You can run but you can't hide. :)

Brilliant stuff - now I am really looking forward to the trip.
Thanks everyone !

For architecture - there's Ruthin and Llangollen nearby.

Fish and Chips - there's an extremely good one in Deganwy.

Tal-y-Cafn gives you good views of Conwy Castle. Anglesey has plenty of places - too many to mentions. Plas Newydd is worth a trip.

If NT member it's great - Penrhyn Castle is good too.

But plenty in Llandudno to see.

I live 3 miles from Llandudno and can highly recommend it.
Seaside and scenery....loads to do. A great place to bring the kids.
Castles, beaches, trains, mountains, lakes, and more. Don't be put off by the seagulls, they are not that bad. Honestly.
