Live View

Just received my 40D and I am a little confused on how to use 'Live View'?

My wife said 'RTFI' but I figured I would get the information from one of the experts.

I would agree with your wife!!! The way mine is set up I have to push the set button and live view comes on, I think that could be a CF I've set

Yes i have used a setting to make the centre SET button start Liveview.

And btw...........RTFM!

And on the 40D you can set it up for autofocus in live view, but Janice is the expert on that.......!!
Wish I could do the same on the 1Ds.

You were correct about the CF.
SET now switches on 'Live View'
