I've considered the new version of the wdtv, gets a lot of good mentions and plays full hd content
I think I figured out what was wrong with your xbmc setup you know (I know it's a bit late). Saw your thread on OCUK and it reminded me of a problem I had - the deinterlacing settings. If you choose the wrong deinterlacer in xbmc, it has to pull the file back into memory and deinterlace in software. This causes severe stuttering problems. I ended up reinstalling an xbmc because of this - just couldn't figure it out.I've considered the new version of the wdtv, gets a lot of good mentions and plays full hd content

I figured it when it happened again after I'd played the same file on a different and more powerful xbmc installation.
Don't think netflix on xbmc is that good yet - so no help to the OP...
Edit: it seems the Windows version is fine.... just missing Silverlight in Linux apparently....
Internet TV's and Blu ray players often include netflix amongst many other things they can do in case you were considering an upgrade sometime.
I have wdtv live.
connected to my PC with series movies etc, over ethernet
there is Netflix that you can 'fool' that you are in USA for better content![]()
Not in the near future Robert, hence the possible want for one of the little boxes ... Although VM are supposed to be in talks with Netflix n co for the Tivo, but as with VM and everything they do: When is the big question
Might have to have a chat with you about that, Lukas![]()

I thought about ATV2 but 720p was not enough![]()
So what do you need to know? It has HDMI, Ethernet, usb. You can connect external hdd via USB. PC or nas via wifi or Ethernet. Ethernet is better for streaming huge files( I was streaming 28gb files of lord of the rings with no stutter over Ethernet as wifi didn't manage)
You can setup media library and box will get all content info from the net.
And its easy to fool Netflix you are in us on it![]()
Ok give or take one or two shows I watch. Was thinking of just dumping the TV package and getting a streaming box instead.I switch between UK and US content
there is battle star gallactica on US one![]()
