I've got a couple of old box cameras, Ful-Vues and the like that have lost their little red plastic window.
Now I know I could use a bit of a lighting gel but I'd like something a little more permanent, so where can I get some relatively thin red plastic that will do the job? I've tried sign companies but their perspex/plastic is too thick, any ideas?

Nick when I repaired a folding pocket kodak No1A you actually posted a reply to how i had replaced the missing red window ......take a look about two thirds of the way down page 1 here

Without doubt some thin red plastic would be an easier and possibly a more tidy answer but if unable to locate some, then why not try the method I used...

Maybe a B&W filter? Perhaps a cheap thin one from ebay might do the trick once cut to size?

Thanks Woodsy, good idea.

Thanks Asha, I knew I'd mentioned it before but I couldn't track the thread down.

You could always load up some E6, take a picture of a fire engine or similar, and cut up the resulting slide.

Now there's an original idea
