Lions:a cautionary tale

I'm laughing as well, while thinking what a great set of memories the photographer has! And at the comments - often the most amusing part of any discussion like that (particularly on American sites...)

You could imagine the insurance claim;

"Well Sir how did the damage occur?"

"Err a Lioness ate it,,,,": lol:

That is great. :) some excellent shots. Providing the insurance pay out, I bet it was worth it!

I recently went on safari but they wouldn't let us out of the van with good reason, we ended up being charged by a buffalo and a tad later an elephant got a little annoyed by us watching him.

...an elephant got a little annoyed by us watching him.

You should have told him that you were in a public place and perfectly entitled to take photos. Stand your ground, wimp. :D

That is a great story. The Lioness seems to be looking back in the last shot, quite pleased with herself, maybe thinking - "do you want to come and get your camera?";)

Apparently there were 2 cameras there. A nikon too but the lioness prefers Canons!

I would have but my Swahili doesn't stretch that far! LMAO

love it! i wouldn't leave a camera like that for a house cat, never mind a lion!

I wonder if he used JPEGs or Rawr files :)

Worth checking out the BeetleCam (http://www.burrard-lucas.com/beetlecam), its been lion proofed with incredible results, being able to drive it right into its face.

I did a quick scan down to see if it had been posted.... obviously didn't get far enough!

I've merged the duplicates :)

Did remind me of a cartoon I drew a couple of years ago:
