Link delight battery grip?

I don't have any direct experience of this item but have bought grips from LinkDelight for my Nikon D40 and D80 in the past. They were both extremely well made and worked perfectly. In fact, the D80 one worked better than the proper Nikon item :-)

I also use a LinkDelight IR remote with my D90 and it works perfectly.

I had one from them for my d5000 and it didn't work properly, move it around and the power goes off etc error msg's on the screen
 
Currently awaiting delivery of one for my D700, so I shall let you know!

I have has one for my 450D for 18 months now and no issues whatsover. Fits perfectly and is a very good match to the surface of the camera.

Make sure its the Meike one....

They're great!

Got one for my D90, which didn't see much use.....Love the one on my D700 - A must! :D

Should add that Link Delight only sell the grips, they dont make them so buying from Link Delight doesnt ensure you get the best grip.

Make sure ite the Meike brand who ever you buy it from, i use one on my D700, cost £40 shipped from London, arrived in 2 days with every single accessort including the battery trays and the EN-EL4 battery cover which Nikon will charge extra for
 
I just got a Meike one from Link Delight for my D700, complete with two batteries and a remote, and a LCD extra function thingie, for £60 recorded delivered from Hong Kong - turned up in less than a week, and seems to work perfectly! Ok its slightly plasticy especially when empty, but less weight is a good thing and in the event I break it or it fails, I've still got some batteries and I could buy another one and still be quids-in compared to the Nikon version...

Alternatively, I could have spent 3 times that on a second-hand Nikon one with no batteries remote etc, for something I'll only use a handful of times a year, hmm, let me think about that for a minute...

p.s.
Don't set the interval timer off by pressing random buttons when the camera is off trying to change the clock without reading the instructions, its quite funny once you realise WTF is going on...

Exactly the same here, no problems with it other than the ink around the buttons is nowhere near as hard wearing as on the camera itself...
 
Have one on my 50d (for over a year) and just yesterday one arrived for my 5d2.. Couldnt be happier. :)
(they are 'standard' grips as opposed to timer grips)

Check the grip operation for the 5D2. I bought a cheap one for my 5D2 and it didn't manage the batteries properly. The OEM for the 5D2 I replaced it with is definitely sturdier and works 100% reliably ;)

Hi, can you say which company you bought from that shipped from London please? Every one I've found ships from abroad, even the ones who claim to be UK sellers have bad feedback to say they're shipping from China. Cheers.

Hi Gary, thanks again for this and for your message. Having looked again, they are one of the companies who have bad feedback saying they ship from abroad - plus their listings are peppered with the poor grammar and spelling that are good indicators of Chinese auctions trying to seem like they're based in the UK ('verticle'?).

Perhaps they keep certain items stockpiled in the UK and send others direct from China though?
 
I've ordered one so will give my opinion when it comes :)
