Lines all the way along a roll of film

I've recently had some films developed - one of them annoyingly has a couple of lines all the way along each frame of the whole roll of film. I had this problem once before on one of my previous rolls.

I'm not sure whether it's the film, the camera or something at the processing stage that causes this, so I'd be grateful for your advice. The annoying thing is that if it's the camera, I'm going to have to work out which one it is (I have 2 Spotmatics, a Spotmatic II and a Spotmatic F, and I use them pretty much interchangeably so I often can't remember which pictures were shot on which body by the time it gets round to developing time).

Those lines look like they are a result of the scanner, if they were scratches in the negative the lines would be darker, but i may be wrong here
 
So you think they'd disappear if the negatives were re-scanned? If that's the case, I'll take the negs back to the developer.
 
Are the lines always in the same place? Are you getting scans done by the processors or are you scanning at home? Can you see the same lines on the negs?

Exactly continuous along the length of the entire roll of film. I can't see the lines on the negs, but I imagine they'd be hard to see anyway.

I paid for developing and scanning - don't have a home neg scanner (apart from a Veho slide scanner, which is terrible).

If they are in the same place im willing to bet that they are scanner problems and should go away when redone :)
 
That's good to hear, thanks. I'm reasonably conscientious about keeping my cameras clean, and I hadn't noticed any damage that would be causing it. Since I got my first Spotmatic, I've been turned off digital completely; I just seem to get a much better quality image from the Super Takumar lenses, even on cheap film. Not sure I need four 55mm f/1.8 lenses, but I keep on accruing them with other bits I want.
 
If the picture posted is the full frame, and your eyesight is average, you should be able to see that line without too much trouble.
On a light box with a loupe it will be very obvious.
One way or the other you will know whether it is a scan line or an automated process scratch.
