Lined Trousers

No Paul, quiet.

Regatta, spray way, rav, crag hopper and many more sell them. The best one are slightly elasticated and have a high waterproofing figure.

I had some of these slightly stretchy lined trousers. I caught the knee on a stone stile on my first day out - and because they are at stretch, a small piece of sharp stone meant an instant rip, which wouldn't have happened with slightly looser fit! Also, they were heavy showerproof rather than Lake District Rain proof - seams aren't taped either.

Nice and warm though - so perfect for standing around on a crisp morning waiting for sunrise.

You didn't buy the proper ones. I've been in heavy rains all day and been dry at the end it.

Mine were provided by work - so probably a cheap copy!! I might try these out.

We were given some terrible jackets as well, that let in water after about two hours. And given the weather we have up here much of the time.......

Nice, thanks. I have a pair of old jack wolfson lined trousers that are seriously comfortable, but the buggere don’t make them anymore

Picked up a similar pair made by Kuhl in the states, but they are more suited for Montana winters lol

I hope you guys that have ordered a pair are happy, I’m a little worried now!
Keep us updated please?

From my hillwalking days (hips and knees complain now), I have a pair of Hagloffs trousers. They were what I regard now as stupidly expensive, but it was before the kids came along so we actually had some disposable income. They're twenty years old and still brilliant. Quite fitted but just the right stretch with re-inforcements and gussets in just the right spots. Water resistant, wind proof but with zips to open for ventilation. I wear them now when shooting guns and cameras, they work well for anything outdoors. Being able to put a knee down without getting soaked is a bonus.

These on Amazon look good for the price!

I've just ordered a pair now too. Maybe we should try to do a deal and get the Chinese to add TP branding to them!

Congrats for fitting into a 20-year-old pair of trousers :-)

I can! I was a bit (more) of a porker 20 years ago.

I had a pair of Rohan fleece lined trousers a while back but found them TOO warm when walking so now wear their waterproof lined ones which are less insulated. Last for many years too.

I'm wearing them right now as it happens, been clambering around the outside of the house putting up christmas lights. SMWBO spaketh and being a good boy, I did as I was tely.

Tobers, over the covid years they struggled! Getting back into them comfortably was a goal.

I have to maintain my weight chiefly through diet, my achy joints don't really allow for anything high impact. Too many years of descents before poles were a thing. Plus years of lugging shoulder mounted TV cameras or Bronicas around has not been kind to my muscular-skeletal condition.

They seem superb so far, and buying them in a ranch supply shop in Montana made them cheaper than if I bought them in the UK lol.

They seem very hardy, which is great for an idiot who wanders through brambles more often than he should lol

I got mine in Tiso's some 20 years ago. They're still going. They age well.
