Yes
Hi been on here a bit now, but i am Beginning to feel frustrated with my subject matter, which revolves round the house and garden, When i do get out my camera was to heavy and bulky to take, i have purchased a holster which fits neatly on my chair + when i become more mobile = a set of wheels i will be able to get out moor, these can not come soon enough for me, but i en-liken it to working full time as i know what the majority on here would sooner be doing, do you lot take your camera everywhere, or just when you going somewhere special.

Regards Mark

never take mine everywhere not my dslr anyway but I do carry around a little olmpus xa2 film cam.If i'm going on a day out somewhere i'll take the dslr look around locally theres normally plenty of national trust abbys and parks etc.

Hi Mark,
I know how you feel - I am on crutches for a while, and I either have the camera swinging around and crashing into them every second pace, or put the camera into a backpack, which then takes me 5 minutes to get it out, and as soon as I put it to my eye, my balance goes, so I wobble about like a drunk (no comments please..)
As a result, I have not used my camera for more than about 5 shots in the last 2 months..!
It is very frustrating - last night I saw what would have been my chance at an entry for this months 'weather' competition, but by the time I had managed to get the camera and get back to where I was, the picture had gone. I now have the perfect excuse for not winning the competition !!
Good luck with getting your wheels, and once you have then, will you be able to get to events ? - trying to see a positive, you may find you can get to places where other more mobile folks are not allowed - ie pitch-side at football and rugby matches etc..
Keep cheerful..

I read a brilliant article in one of the photographic mags last year about a photography club for disabled members. They are a fantastic bunch and as ingenious as they come. They had managed all sorts of mods to allow them to carry on their photography including frame mounted cameras on chairs and bulb fired cameras so one guy could use his mouth to fire the shutter. Truly awesome!

Glad to see you still sticking around Mark, have you tried any of the water drop stuff?I'd love to give that a go but time is my enemy right now so I can't get round to it. Well, he who must be obeyed will kill me if I finally finish working only to go messing about togging ;)

Mark, through different reason to you most of my photography is indoors at the moment. Fun is to be had with a light box and a few lamps, (see my flickr, most on there is using the light box).

All the best with the hospital appointment mate.

Lets set him a task to creatively photograph items that should be available in the house/garden?

hi just checked out the flicker i am very impressed there are some very good ideas, and that will keep me out of trouble. What light set up do you use if you could give me a few tips that's exactly what i wish to achieve.

Kind Regards Mark.

You could always try to run a challenge with a few people on here?

Name a few common household objects and challenge people to take a good picture with them all included.

I take my camera bag literally everywhere with me...I'm going to have a bad back by the time I'm 25 :( But have got a lot of 1 of shots I would have otherwise missed!

I quite often go out without my camera.

Sometimes it's really good to just be out in nature or the everyday world and not be trying to put a frame around it.

It also makes me think about shot's I'd like to take next time I'm there and plan them a little.

After a week of walking around without my camera I have a big list of stuff I want to shoot and I've had time to think about how to do it, what time of day etc.

hi many thanks for the above posts i have a lot of tasks in the links to keep me occupide for the winter months :).

Regards Mark.

PS been to my sister in laws this weekend, wife finally found the courage to drive pics to follow.

Went out on the bike yesterday and I was undecided as to whether to take the camera or not...it meant fitting the topbox and in the end I couldn't be bothered.
Met up with a couple of mates and we ended up riding over to Headcorn Aerodrome who, unbeknown to me, were holding a small air display....
Old bi-planes, parachutists, helicopters.....some fantastic photo opportunities.
I could have kicked myself :bang::bang::bang::bang::bang::bang:
