I still have my D40 and use it. Awesome camera.

Great choice of camera! I have no regret on getting mine and it makes it easy to make a Xmas list of bits and pieces that you would really like other than the socks and hankies that appear every year! Enjoy and hope you get some great pics.

D40 was my first DSLR....loved it. Great choice.
