Lightworks

I have seen the programme Lightworks mentioned on a couple of threads, I haven't downloaded it yet as I'm not really near to my computer where I shall use it.

I really like the ideas as it's looks to be a really powerfull peice of software for free. Which is always a bonus. However one thing I can not seem to see is does it allow you to output say the HD files on to a DVD for example or even output files for ipads and ipods ect.

I'm very new to the DSLR video malarky so please go easy on me.

It won't output directly to DVD, you need to save your work as a DVD compatible file such as MPEG layer 2 and then use a separate DVD authoring application.

The 'Features' page on the Lightworks site does imply it has export presets for Apple TV, iPhone, iPod.
