Just wondering if anyone had come across or used the Lightsphere for portraits, I saw it advertised on the Nikonians sight. It appears to be quite a simple but good product and thought it would useful.

I remember seeing this yonks ago when it was only available in the states, and pretty much in the development stages. It looks potentially very impressive I reckon.

I'm after something I can quickly fit to the flash to soften the light for portraits, I'm getting a few requests for horse and horse/rider shots and wanted to know what is best. I've currently got the Stofen omnibounce but it's not as good as I hoped.

Thats some expensive tupperware

Yeah..the price is taking the urine a bit, but I may get one of these, I haven't seen anything as portable as this which produces results that good - and you can use it in upright (portrait) mode without messing around with brackets.

Really? 120k a day? Who's he trying to kid? I'm sure you could've had Bailey or Lichfield for less than that!

I don't think anybodies photography is worth that much!

Isn't that a similar idea to the Sto-fen?

I've just ordered one of these so I'll let you know how it performs, but this seems to be a genuine new take on an old problem - I can't see any reason why it shouldn't do just what it says on the tin. I wish I'd had one of these when I was doing weddings.

Just to confuse the issue, there are now two versions - the original one and a more opaque version called 'Cloud' which is supposed to give a warmer softer light. I've gone for the 'Cloud' in the end.
