Lightroom5 on mac

I have used the 30 day trial and now bought lightroom 5 but will not open up on mac but will work on pc ? help needed please (novice on computers).

Sounds like you've downloaded the PC version and not the Mac version. I think, if you go to the Adobe site and redownload the Mac version, you can use the licence code you purchased.
