Lightroom Watermark question.

I've got roughly 250 images that I need to watermark in lightroom but when I export them and tick the watermark box, it doesnt add any watermark.

How can I watermark all the images at once??

you need to put your watermark text in the copyright field in the keywords/exif data
you can add it to one and then copy and paste it to the rest.
it will then show up as a watermark when you export

you cant do anything fancy like logos, however. thats one of the main reasons i use Aperture 2.1 instead

ah right, found it now. its a pathetic watermark tbh, it puts it in the bottom left of the picture. its tiny.

I've downloaed picture-shark instead now for the copyright logo.

it's better to record an action photoshop.
I use lightroom to crop all the images and do slight adjustments.
Then export all the pix at the desired image size..
then run an action in photoshop to sharpen and copyright

Rather than copy and paste you can select all your images and do a sync meta data, you can also set it to write this to the file on import you you con't have to think about it again...

If you create a droplet in Photoshop, you can run this at the time of export from Lightroom in the post processing options.




You can put any item in the Export Actions folder that can be opened with a set of photo files. For example, you can place an executable file or shortcut (Windows), or application or alias (Mac OS). Items added to the folder are listed in the After Export menu of the Export dialog box the next time you export photos.
You can also add Photoshop droplets or script files to the Export Actions folder.

1. Do any of the following to open the Export Actions folder:

In the Export dialog box, choose Go To Export Actions Folder Now from the After Export menu.

(Windows XP) Navigate to \Documents And Settings\ [username] \Application Data\Adobe\Lightroom\Export Actions\.
*

(Windows Vista) Navigate to \Users\ [username] \App Data\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\Export Actions\.
*

(Mac OS) Navigate to / [user home] /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom/Export Actions/.
2. Add the item to the Export Actions folder.

If you use The LR plug in mogrify you can do watermarks and borders straight from Lightroom. It was a bit of hassle to install but now it is done it's fantastic.
