Hi all Im using lightroom CC and have been for my last 50 or so weddings and tonight Ive hit my 1st problem. Im using windows and when I view the raws (jpeg preview) through windows all the colours etc are accurate but when I load them into lightroom the bridesmaids dresses
completely change colour from a red to a bright pink/purple. Now when you view the thumb nails at the bottom in lightroom you can see they are red but then within seconds it looks like a filter is applied and it changes. the strange thing is its only the dresses that change, almost like just the hue on the reds are affected........worse still ive played with every slider and cant get the colour accurate?? I am hoping someone can help as this job is on stop until I can work this out.

Hi Stuart,
Could you post a jpg from your camera and a screenshot of the
same RAW picture in LR CC to compare?

The images have been rendered using Adobe's colour profile. You need to change the camera profile to one of the built in presets like 'camera standard' or 'camera portrait' to replicate the mode your camera was in.

If yo scroll down to the bottom of the editing tools in Lightroom I think it is in the Camera Calibration tab.

Let me know if it helps!

the only thing Ive adjusted is exposure by .6 stop, so the image on the left is correct but the other is what im getting in lightroom

I was shooting RAW, i tried what you said but again none are accurate

Then this could be a case of Lightroom operating in a different colour workspace than the Windows standard.

Make sure your working colour profile is set to rgb. I think this might solve it n

this is the 1st this has ever happened in lightroom for some reason, where will I get the RGB setting

Did you upgrade LR recently?
Any other change in your workflow, tools, or apps?

Stephen is right. The raw thats imported is profiled to the jpg setting in the camera, then, after import the images are rendered in LR and the profile you have set there. ie the flat raw as Adobe profile. Try the profile where Stephen said (bottom right of Develop module, set the Camera Profile to "Camera Faithful" instead of "Adobe Profile" - does that help?

In the colour settings somewhere. You may also have imported the photos to Lightroom with some sort of weird setting relating to colour. Try importing again and double check all the settings.

As a last resort, if you are shooting Canon install their free Digital Photo Professional software. It is brilliant and the colours always match what you see on camera. It also has a lens correction tool which makes even cheap lenses look brilliant!

I should say that Canon DPP is their RAW conversion software. Much better colours and tones than Lightroom but slower to operate.

Could be getting somewhere guys Ive set the profile to camera portrait and its the closest im getting........im 90% there . many thanks

Not 100% , I'm starting from scratch again , I must have settings out somewhere I've missed

Might Lightroom be correct but Windows wrong? I seem to recall this might have to do something with the graphics driver and not a particular software package.
