Many thanks to Ryanboy in the Portraits section for sharing some PP tips, but it is all Lightroom speak and when using CS2 I cant seem to match up the settings.

Here they are..

blacks = +13
clarity = +25
vibrance = +100
saturation = -50

Curves Lights = +9 (tad more maybe....)
Curves darks = -5

Split Toning Highlights hue 70 saturation 28
Split Toning Shadows hue 240 saturation 28

Sharpening amount 40

Can anyone help at all?

you can find all of this in adobe camera raw - the first 4 on the first tab, curves on 2nd and split toning on the fourth

Thanks Joe, I'll have a look when I get on my PC but I tend to work with jpegs so will I be able to translate this to understand and apply the effects within CS2?

EDIT: I've found out that there is no direct equivalent in CS2 for the vibrancy function. It seems that this function only saturates colours that are not already bright and that you need to set up an action as to recreate this process.

oh right, i only used cs3 to cs5.

Even if you have jpegs you can open a jpeg in camera raw, just choose file open, select the jpeg and then choose to open with camera raw and you'll get the tools there which i find are simpler than using the ps tools mostly

Thank you.

I have spent some more time investigating the functions of these fancy lightroom things and all can be achived in CS2 through PP but are not availabe as a direct action. Looks like I may need to invest in some up to date software!!
