Hi All
First of all I must confess to being a very late adopter of Lightroom, but starting to force myself to use it more and more.
but one issue I have is how slow it builds image previews, I have a lot of high resolution film Scans, with most of them being over 100meg each so a first time visit to any directory in Lightroom is a very very slow process as it slowly builds a preview, it also only previews those thumbnails actually shown on the screen, so I have to slowly scroll down allowing it to build its previews.
Is there any way to get Lightroom to build its previews in the background, so i can just tell it to read and build thumbnails for every image in the library.
I am sure there must be but cannot find it in the settings options
Thanks for any help with this
Paul
