Yes
I'm currently using LR2 to process my RAW files & love the functionality. However even at 1:1 in the library module I can't check sharpness accurately without moving across to the develop module. This is OK for the odd pic but very slow for large numbers. Is there anything I can do about this ?

What can you see at 1:1 in the develop module that you can't see in the library module.

Is it you need to adjust sharpening for most of the images. You could make a preset of the typical sharpening settings you use, ansd apply that on import. That may save you a lot of time and trouble

No that's not the problem (or perhaps it is) - when I'm viewing at 1:1 in library to do the initial sort my images are not sharp - open the image in develop & hey presto nice & sharp. Is this something to do with my import settings ?
Sorry to appear dense :help:

That's strange: As far as I am aware you should see the same image quality in both Library and Develop modules. When you go to 1:1 the first thing that happens is the RAW file is rendered to full size, this is then saved, and is used for future use. So it should be the same resolution and sharpness in both modules.

May sound a bit stupid, but are you giving the software time to render to the full 1:1 resolution before examining the image?

Out of interest what happens when you view the image in develop and then switch back to Library.

It sounds very similar to a problem I have when LR does not always render the full 1:1 preview. For me it doesn't happen everytime and a quick restart of LR solves the problem but it happened in both the Libraray and Develop modules on my system. If your LR is doing everytime them I would try a re-install and see if that helps.

Sorry I can't offer any real help but I just wanted to let you know that it isn't just you that's experiencing it.

You've solved it for me I either wasn't waiting or not viewing at 1:1 :bonk:

Many thanks

As usual with most of these things it's user error and not RTFM properly :$
