Lightroom sharpening?

I have had refined options for sharpening in PS for a long time with different settings for each image type.
Photoshop has amount/radius/threshold while lightroom has added detail and masking.
Can someone explain which is the equivelant of threshold please?
 
From my understanding of the way threshold works, there is not really a direct equivalent in Lightroom. However you may find that Detail may be the nearest option.
 
I don't know the answer specifically, but in LR, if you hold down, I think it's, the control key as you adjust masking, you can see how much of the image is going to be sharpened, and as you adjust the masking, more and less edges etc. Not sure I've explained that well, but it's easier to do it and see to be honest. You do need to be zoomed into 100% to see the effect.
 
It's actually the ALT key on PC Option on Mac.

Hold down this key, when you are zoomed to 100% and adjust any of the sharpening sliders, and you can see the effect. You'll see the image change to monochrome, this is normal, and you can see the changes you are making to the sharpness of the image.

Don't forget the local adjustment tools have a sharpness option as well for local adjustment

The problem is I don't think there is a direct relationship in Lightroom to the Threshold setting in Photoshop. From what I understand the sharpening method in LR takes a different approach to that of Photoshop.

Once you get used to Lightroom's methodology of sharpening you may prefer it to Photoshop.
 
There isn't really a simple comparrison, they are two different systems, LR is designed to apply sharpening to raw files, look at more like the sharpening in ACR. LR has the advantage that it sharpens the luminance value rather than the colour value.
If you take the detail slider all the way right you'll get an effect similar to unsharp mask, but your risking halos.
Theres a few sharpening presets included (if I remember rightly) check those out and try ajusting them and see what you like. Wayne

As said earlier, the sharpening in the develop module is only really input sharpening, crucially at the full image size, you need to use the output sharpening to tailor it to your output image.
