Lightroom re-ordering photos

Trying to re-order a shoot in lightroom and usually just drag the photos around in the filmstrip but am getting am currently unable to do so. A black circle crossed symbol appears.

A few of the photos have duplicate copies after edits in Photoshop.

Anything obvious I may be missing?

From memory, you need to be in grid view in the library, and all the photos need to be in a single folder.

I always just use the filmstrip in develop mode.

Resorted to a restart which did the trick, strange.
