Yes
I am trying to use mask on Lightroom but am having no success.

This is the original photo:

This is what I've done to it so far:

I'm trying to fix the sky but I don't know how. If I go to Develop mode and then the Tools menu I can see the Adjustment Brush and Graduation Filter tools but when I click on them to use it doesn't give me any options of what I actually want to change? Help?!

Any other tips while I'm at it?

F1 gives you loads of help in LR.

Use the grad filter - once yo click it you drag it ver the photo - you should see loads of options of things you can change - incl exposure - brightness - saturation - etc You could also use the adjustment brush to brighten up and put more detail into the dog.

When I drag the Filter or Brush over the photo it doesn't give me any options:(. It changes something but doesn't give me any choice in the matter...

Just below where you click for the brush or the filter - top right of the screen - you'll see the options - running out of batery - more tomorrow . . .! Sorry

I'm clicking from the main toolbar at the top and there definitely isn't anything coming up... confused :(.

When you have the ajustment brush active you should have this palette displayed on the right, do you have the palettes collapsed? this is where your options for the brush and gradient show up.

The "Quick Develop" palette window shows up when I am in the Library tab but when I switch to the Develop tab its not there and doesn't pop up when I click on the Adjustment Brush etc. Is there any was to open up the window again if it has been accidently collapsed?

Edit: nevermind, found it/fixed/done :D woop woop.

There is NO quick develop palette in the develop module - look at the screen shot above - it is correct. That is what you should see in the develop module with a picture selected. When you click on the adjustment brush (or hit K on the keyboard) the palette changes to show the possibilities for that tool.
