What my question is due to recent criticism from a friend, a few of my friends prefer photo shop, but then again to cut my workload in half and editing wise, I much prefer to use light-room.

Im constantly worried though that people may judge me for what program I use.

What are peoples opinion`s on this?

Thank you!

It depends on what you are doing. That's all! Lightroom is utterly capable and not a toy. PS can do different things that LR can't. It's not about posing or imagined staus. What counts, & what you may be 'judged' by, are the results, & you find your own means to your own ends. Toughen up!

different programs for different jobs but given the development of LR I now seldom use PS and when I do I need no more than PSE and Topaz plugins.

If you work weddings and have large numbers of images then LR has to be the way to go (IMHO)

Thanks guys, Its just something thats been on my mind for the past few days. Dro, I can toughen up, its just something that nags at me thats all.

Don't let them get to you. Do it your way.

LR and PS are complimentary so there's a place for both, surely.

If I could only use one though it would be lightroom, it's amazing for organizing your photos and saving snapshots so you can go through multiple edits all without damaging the original photo, very well designed software and thought out compared to most, try it for 30 days you've got nothing to lose.

Photoshop is only useful for me when layering and designs are needed like logos, posters, digital art e.t.c.
