Lightroom mobile on Ipad is here!

Can,t see how it would work without the cloud. You'd be unable to sync.
Suppose it's more pressure, from Adobe, to try and "force" people into the subscription model.

I have a subscription to Adobe CC; £7.95 a month for Photoshop and Lightroom. The Ipad version now comes with this package free. Good deal.

a standalone app would've been nicer. that could work from photostream and/or imports via the apple camera connector.

I know on the mobile app, on the ipad, you can create a new collection and import photos already on the ipad / taken with ipad camera. Not sure if you can access the app's functionality without loggin in to a creative cloud account?

Same here - just installed it and had my first play on the iPad :)

Can you import photos from SD card into LR mobile, then sync back onto desktop at the end of the day? Currently I have to manually copy catalogue from laptop to desktop at the end of the day. Would be nice to be able to only carry an iPad mini and it does it automatically.

I read you cannot flag, rate or edit metadata. Seems pointless as those are the only activities I would be interested to do on a tablet. eg. Import from SD card into LR mobile, rate/flag photos on the trip back, get back on desktop to do actual edits. There is no point editing on a display that isn't colour managed.

Am I the only one that is a bit disappointed with this? I am a CC subscriber so unlike most people, it is not the subscription model that bugs me. I have been waiting for this, not to do quick edits on the ipad but as a better photo display tool on the ipad and iPhone. I have thousands of photos on lightroom, all keyworded. I would love to be able to dispense with the photos app and be able to have a 1000 pixel wide copy of all of the on my iOS device and be able to filter them by keywords and metadata. I guess I'll have to hope that it gets improved over time.

Haven't tried importing yet, but you can flag. Haven't found rate or metadata yet.

Such a shame its only available on CC.

Couldn't they create a version which just syncs the collections through usb each time you plug into your computer? I know you would be limited to how much you could store that way but at-least you could import a day or twos worth of shots and edit on the go.

No use to me either......................I updated to 5.4 on my 'perpetual' license copy and the default is to "offer" mobile ~ just disabled it in the selection available, now the top left hand corner looks like it always did
