Been clearing out a load of old desks at work that were vacated by people who took redundancy or retired
Came across tons of old tat and amongst it found a copy of Lightroom which I think is the MK1 version complete with serial number

Only ever used Elements, so my question is it any good or perhaps a bit old by now
Haven't brought it home as yet, so its either keep it or chuck it out with all the other tat

Every time that some software gets updated extra features are added. LR1 will upgrade up to LR1.5 if I remember rightly which is probably 80%+ of what we have now. The other thing that you get is a licensed LR which you could possibly upgrade from!

Also with older versions they often do not support RAW from the latest cameras.

Thanks for the info Darren

Might as well give it a try although no idea how it works, perhaps the Library will have a book
Can't believe the stuff I came across today, amazing what people have at work and obviously don't want when they leave

Saying that got a fair bit of old junk myself, think I will start a thread about it and see what others have laying about

I actually have a book specifically on LR1, it is so close to LR2 that I use it as a reference for LR2.
