Lightroom is it possible to have a copy of the picture before developing?

Want the original /colour and a black and white version after developing in the library but can't find how to do this anywhere online. Is it even possible?

Realise you can just reset the image at any time as it is the raw file.

Only been using Lightroom for two hours now so complete novice
