Lightroom & iPad question !

As i'm new here i guess i don't get access to the trade area (as in if i want to sell some kit) Could someone please educate me on this.
 
In lightroom on your Mac go to Collections.

Right Click a Collection and select Sync with Lightroom Mobile. Open Lightroom mobile on the ipad and they will download automatically for you.

Nightmare, I thought iPads and MacBooks were supposed to work hand in hand, just bought a MacBook and trying to learn fast, do find syncing a pc with IPad easier than Mac, but then been using pc for 20 years and Mac for 20 hours!!!!

No you don't need to upload them to the web.
I'm guessing you are shooting in jpg, so you would need to upload all your photos to your PC, as you do already and then edit them in lightroom.
Once edited, you will need to export them again as lightroom just keeps a receipe of your edits and does not modify the original files.
Export these to a new folder and then sync that folder with your iPad.
