Have been usinf Lightroom on desktop PC for sometime and have add a lot of keywords etc to my images. Have just purchased a netbook and installed Lightroom which runs OK for viewing images, no plans to do editing on it.

My question is can I move keyword data from PC to netbook and is there a way to keep the two in sync?

If you have your files stored as .dng select to copy metadata to the raw file and it will be there whenever that image is opened in Lightroom (or any other Adobe photo application I believe).

If your images are stored as raw files, you can do the same, but you will just need to keep the XMP sidecar file with the raw file (or convert to DNG )
