I'm tyring to use Lightroom more and more, but am still not far from being a novice.

When I open an image, and go to Develop I then select the Adjustment Brush tool. This has worked fine and allowed me to do the usual adjustments - Exposure/Contrast/Highlights etc.

Now for some reason it doesn't work anymore. I am assuming that I've switched something off. The brush tool appears, I can choose my preferred settings and everything appears fine. But when I try and apply to the image nothing happens at all. I've tried all the reset options that I can see to no avail.

Anyone know which button I have pressed in error? All the other options seem to work fine, just the adjustment brush that doesn't want to play ball.

Hi Mick

Not sure what version you are using but in LR4 there is a "reset" button at the bottom of the adjustment brush palette and on the other side there is a slider to turn the adjustment on and off - it's a small vertical rectangular box with a lighter coloured square you move up and down for on and off.

Thanks for that. I'm on LR5. I've seen both those boxes and however I set them they don't allow the brush to function normally.
It was working just fine until I started experimenting so I assume I've hit the wrong button somewhere but I'm dashed if I can find out which one.

Have you changed the 'flow' value in the brush setting? A low value can mean its hard to see the effect. Easy to miss if you have changed the brush from A or B setting and not noticed.

Looks like I'd set both flow and density to 0. Don't recall doing that as I had no idea what they did - I do now!
Many thanks.
